What’s up, RHS? It’s that time of the year again — the start of a brand-new Rainbow Six Siege season!
And from everything I’ve seen so far, I can honestly say: this one’s going to be epic.

Ubisoft invited me to play Operation Silent Hunt early in Paris, and trust me — this season feels different.
After a few underwhelming updates, they’re finally going all-in, not just for this season but for the entire Year 11.
I’ve got all the juicy details: the new operator (yes, Solid Snake himself), new weapons, reworked maps, balance changes, and even what’s coming in Year 12.

So sit back, subscribe for more Siege content, and let’s get into it.

🐍 The New Operator: Solid Snake

You heard that right — Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid is officially joining Siege as a new attacker.
He’s a 3-speed, 1-health op with two main abilities.

1. The Solaton Radar MK3
A handheld scanner that works like a personal UAV — it shows directional positions of defenders nearby.
It’s battery-powered and recharges when not in use, giving you huge map control.
You see open space? You take it. Instantly.

2. The OSP Pouch
Think Scavenger Pro from old-school shooters. Snake can loot utility pouches dropped by dead operators — letting you reuse grenades, stuns, and more.
It’s a complete game-changer for late-round clutch plays.

On top of that, Snake brings a new sidearm, the Tacket 45, equipped with a reflex sight and suppressor, perfect for stealth kills.
His primaries include the F2 (now with grips) or the PMR9 A2.
Gadgets? Take your pick: breaching charges, smokes, grenades, or impact EMPs.

And yes, there’ll be a limited-time event celebrating his arrival — not canon, but totally awesome.

🗺️ Map Remasters & Core Changes

Ubisoft is shutting down Dual Front to refocus on the 5v5 Siege experience.
There’ll be one last Dual Front event before it closes, so grab those exclusive rewards while you can.

The devs are also shifting focus: more buffs, fewer nerfs.
This season, six out of seven operator changes are buffs — and the only nerf goes to shields (which is fair, because nobody likes getting rushed by an invincible turtle).

Buff highlights:

  • Ying – Candela flashes last longer

  • Amaru – +1 grappling hook

  • Fuze – New T95 LSW

  • Alibi – Final pings linger longer

  • Ela – Faster response to shield pressure

  • Scopos – Stronger melee destruction (think Aruni punches)

Map remasters this season: Oregon, Coastline, and Villa — and they’re actually meaningful.
We’re not talking “new fire extinguisher in hallway” level; these are real redesigns that change how strats work.
Within 20 seconds of playing Villa, I already found a brand-new anchor setup — and it worked first try.

⚔️ New Game Modes & Community Features

Ubisoft is leaning into community love with new 1v1 and 3v3 Arcade modes.
Player feedback will directly shape how these evolve — and yes, they’re built for casual fun and bragging rights.

🧭 Year 11 & Year 12 Roadmap Highlights

Here’s what’s next:

🏆 Esports & Pro Scene

Big moves on the competitive side too:

  • 100 Thieves joins the R6 Pro League

  • New majors: Salt Lake City (May) and Japan (November)

  • Six Invitational 2027 confirmed for Brazil 🇧🇷

Siege is coming back stronger than ever.

🎮 Final Thoughts

Ubisoft finally seems to get it.
They’re focusing on fun, balance, and meaningful content again.
Operation Silent Hunt feels like the start of a new golden era for Siege.

If you’re a long-time fan or a returning player, this is the season to jump back in.
And if you’re new — buckle up. Snake’s here.
