The Galaxy S26 series is almost here, and thanks to reliable leaks, we already know nearly everything.
Samsung’s next Unpacked event is scheduled for February 25th, with the launch set for March 11th.
Models
Just like last year, we’ll see three new devices:
Galaxy S26
Galaxy S26 Plus
Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung reportedly canceled the Edge version due to poor S25 Edge sales.
Design and Build
The familiar triple-camera layout returns, but the rings are slimmer, creating a camera island look.
The S26 Ultra has curvier edges, and the S Pen slot moves slightly to the side.
Sadly, Bluetooth connectivity for the S Pen is not coming back.
Material-wise, the S26 Ultra may drop titanium for Armor Aluminum, following Apple’s move.
Color options include Black Shadow, White Shadow, Galactial Blue, and Ultraviolet, plus exclusive Samsung.com variants.
Display
The standard S26 gets a slightly larger 6.3-inch display, while the Plus and Ultra remain the same.
Expect stunning LTPO M14 OLED panels with incredible brightness and contrast.
The biggest addition might be the Privacy Display feature, letting users control which parts of the screen remain visible — managed by on-device AI.
This is expected to be exclusive to the S26 Ultra.
A new Gorilla Glass generation will make screen protectors unnecessary, and the Ultra will feature 10-bit color depth.
Performance
The S26 Ultra gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, while the S26 and S26 Plus may vary by region between Snapdragon and Exynos 2600 (2 nm).
Base storage starts at 256 GB, matching the iPhone 17.
Cameras
S26 / S26 Plus: 50 MP main, 12 MP ultra-wide, 12 MP 3x telephoto.
S26 Ultra: 200 MP main (f/1.4), 10 MP 3x telephoto, 50 MP 5x telephoto, 50 MP ultra-wide.
Expect better image processing, new anti-flare lenses, and wider selfie camera.
Professional APV video support may debut on the Ultra.
Software & AI
All models will run Android 16 with One UI 8 and receive 7 years of updates.
Galaxy AI features will be expanded, with the most advanced tools exclusive to the S26 Ultra.
Battery & Charging
S26: 4,300 mAh
S26 Plus: 4,900 mAh
S26 Ultra: 5,000 mAh
The Ultra may finally support 60 W wired charging, hitting 75% in 30 minutes.
All models include 25 W CH2 wireless charging support.
Pricing & Release
Prices should match the S25 lineup in most markets, with pre-orders starting right after February 25th.
Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be Samsung’s most advanced phone yet — with next-gen display privacy, a refined camera setup, and faster charging.
If all rumors prove true, 2026 might be another strong year for Samsung’s flagship dominance.
